Villas El Encanto Cozumel

We were part of a small group (10) that got to spend two nights with Ana and her team & family! What a wonderful welcome to Mexico. The accommodations and service were exceptional. Our morning meals and dinners in the cabana were magical. Note: our meals were “catered” -- arranged for ahead of time (otherwise, this small hotel does not have food service). Thanks to this arrangement, we got to enjoy fantastic box lunches and sit-down dinners provided by Antonia and her team at Kooben Laab! All in all, Ana and Antonia made our visit to Cozumel a memorable experience.

We had a large room with a shared kitchen next to it. There is a large patio with two pools and a jungle like garden.<br>Next to the pool is a palapa with a nice seating area and two hammocks, as well as some pool chairs.<br>It is a bit of a walk to the city center, but there are some restaurants and a large supermarket in walking distance. The one star deduction is for the trucks and loud motorbikes passing by the hotel and even on the main road (some jerks apparently race thier bikes there or something like that).<br><br>The beds were comfortable, the AC quite and everything worked. The safe is a bit of a joke as it is just a wooden box with a mailbox lock.

We loved our stay at Villas El Encanto, we were planning to be in a hotel in centro and I am glad we changed it. The staff is very nice since start to finish, you truly feel welcome there and get a sense of family business. It is a 5 minute drive from the center, I recommend either renting a scooter (if you also plan to explore the island) or catch a mototaxi to center and back home they are really cheap around 40 pesos. Would definitely stay here again.

Recently booked a couple nights here! Place is super cute and quiet neighborhood. Loved our hotel, I just didn’t realize the kitchen was separate from the unit unlike the pictures and you can hear people throughout the day in it. It wasn’t too loud, and we were mostly out and about. The unit itself was nice and clean. AC worked great. The only downside you do need to rent a scooter or car because nothing is close by I mean you could walk to the restaurants and stores but it’s probably a 15-20 min walk and during our stay it’s super hot and humid but once we rented a scooter from the hotel we were able to get around. Overall loved this place! Definitely recommend if your looking for a budget friendly stay.

The rooms are very large with an awesome balcony. Loved having a small fridge. Beautiful grounds. great stay!
